Satyam – A Hot (not Sweet) Potato

It seems that the “big one” in outsourcing has happened in the form of Satyam’s chairman cooking the books to the tune of over $1 billion. Another “black swan” raises its ugly head (no offense to swans intended). While the impact on Satyam of the admission of wrongdoing was evident in an immediate 78 percent drop in its stock price, the collateral damage to outsourcing, offshoring and the Indian economy has yet to be seen.
