A-Buzz About Google

Contrary to Eric Schmidt’s claim, you don’t have to be involved in activities that you didn’t want publicized in order to have your identity destroyed and privacy demolished. We have little or no control over much of the information that is purportedly attributed to us. This only increases the need to restrain the use of such information.

My belief is that you should own all information that relates to you and control how it is used. This would mean expanding the definition of personal information, with all the resulting hassles and costs of data protection and use that will result. But, in my opinion, the risks of errors and misattribution and the potential damage, which might result, strongly support the need to revise how we think about information relating to ourselves and our behavior
