This brings me to the announcement of a certification program for the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) by (ISC)2, which stands for International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc. and which also manages the CISSP program. The CSSLP is aimed at validating individuals’ competency in “addressing security issues throughout the software lifecycle.” According to the website announcement, the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) for this certification covers the following:
• Secure software concepts
• Secure software requirements
• Secure software design
• Secure software implementation/coding
• Software acceptance
• Software deployment, operations, maintenance and disposal
