When a fellow college alumni board member found out that she could not check her personal web based email because it was against company policy, she simply had the email sent to her work account (which probably violated a different policy). She wrote:
I’ve recently started a new position where the net access is more stringent. That said, I will not be able to access the gmail account during the day or while traveling so please use this [work address] email address moving forward.
This reminds me of the WSJ article. Note: this person does not work at my company.
