Wachovia Uses Free ID Theft Protection as Part of Promotion
Although my PDA phone picture is very dark and slightly blurry, one can still see that Wachovia is offering free security and ID theft protection — along with $100 gift card and Zagat restaurant guide — when you open a new checking account.
I’d be interested to know what Wachovia believes to be the primary motivating variable for individuals to open a new checking account. My guess: the $100.
