SecList.org and GoDaddy.com

Wired reports that godaddy.com shut down seclists.org because Fydor’s site hosted a file that contained myspace user names and passwords that were phished.

There are many comments regarding the fact that godaddy.com’s behavior was inexcusable.

While mentioned on Wired, it is not discussed in the comments that seclists.org is back online but without the password file. Wired reports, “The site is back up now, sans password file.”

If Fydor feels so strongly about this, why not continue to fight to keep the password file on the website? (If you argue that he’s David fighting Goliath, the same could be said of godaddy and myspace.)
